Exploring
What Makes
Political
Communities
Work
My research explores how communities are shaped by politics, morality, and social identity—using sophisticated, data-first methods that can uncover the hidden networks and narratives that define civic life.
I bring the same spirit to teaching, and my classroom reflects it: my courses are rigorous, engaging, and student-centered.
This Spring, I was recognized with the Albert Warren Scholarship for Excellence in Teaching.
Before academia, I built a career in diplomacy, campaigns, and public policy — from the United Nations to U.S. presidential campaigns to leading sustainability initiatives for Washington, D.C.
This gives me interdisciplinary perspective, and a practical, collaborative approach to every aspect of my work.
